This track takes us behind Peter Parker's eyes, an eye that also belongs to the SPIDERMAN!
The song depicts his love for Maryjane and his helplessness!
As Peter, he wants to be the man of Mary's dreams. But he cannot run away from the responsibilities of a Superhero. This state of confusion in his mind, rather his two minds is what forms the soul of the song.
He tries to be strong for her, but fears that he might end up as the wrong person, and then she won't wait for Peter.
Peter regrets all the things that he told her in the past, all those things that have now come in between him(Peter) and Spiderman, between Spiderman and Mary and between Mary and Peter

He highlights that SHE is the one for him (as Peter) but then he also has some purpose, responsibilities and powers (as Spiderman) from which he cannot run away.
She is the love of his(Peter's) life and she also is the greatest villain for spiderman, a villain that he cant knock down!
He regrets over the fact that he can't tell her why he cannot find time for her and thus, places those unspoken words as his greatest enemy.

Mary is alive ,,she has moved on,,,somewhere on the grounds of new york,,,and here he is,,,Spiderman,,,way up on top of some building,,,crying,,,praying for her.
Life seems so short and things (normal humans) so tiny(powerless) from up where he is standing (refering to his superpowers and him being a superhuman), and what would happen when all of a sudden he falls on the ground below and becomes a normal human being,,,,WOULD SHE KNOW THAT HE IS THERE? WOULD SHE ACCEPT HIM THEN? WOULD SHE EVEN CARE TO KNOW THAT HE IS ALIVE AND BREATHING?

In the last stanza, we are taken to the Aura of this person.
He says that she is the one that he ever wanted, she has left him and now her memories shall haunt him forever.
Its all because of this GIFT (superpowers) that have become his CURSE for then!

This track is excellent in all respects - Lyrics, Tunes, the guitar, vocals, and the video even- A Song that has always touched me, and I have listened to it over and over again, why??? I don't know the answer too. But You must watch this video once atleast and you'll fall in love with it!

The video was uploaded to The Script's official YouTube channel on June 27[1] and directed by Marc Klasfeld. It was also released to many major music channels around this period. The video is quite similar to that of "We Cry" in the sense that Danny is once again walking around an urban city and there are also shots of the full band together, in a parking lot this time rather than the flat in "We Cry". However, it is different because there is a more apparent plot in this video. Danny is sitting on the pavement apparently singing about how he is waiting on a girl to come and meet him. Crowds begin to gather round him and he makes the news, becoming a somewhat celebrity. Near the end of the video there are fast-motion scenes of days passing and we witness Danny in rain and snow, still waiting on the pavement. The video ends with a close-up on Danny who is still waiting as the girl has yet to come to him. The video is also different in the sense that Danny provides all the main vocals.
