"I Don't Care" is a song by Finnish rock band Apocalyptica, the song is released as the third and final single from their sixth album Worlds Collide. The song features Adam Gontier of Three Days Grace on lead vocals. The song reached #1 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks chart for one week and #2 on the Modern Rock Tracks chart where it spent a year in the top 20.
Despite the fact that the song was released towards the end of the 2000's, "I Don't Care" made it to #96 on the Billboard Hot 100 Rock Songs of the Decade chart.

A radio edit version of this song exists where he replaces most of the explicit content, including the chorus's second half. The radio edit version is available only on the single and the US and Canadian edition of the album. In a February 2008 interview for Brave Words and Bloody Knuckles magazine Eicca Toppinen from Apocalyptica explains why there are two versions of the song: "Actually we’ve reworked the song. Adam [Gontier] originally recorded his vocals in the spring (of 2007) with our producer (Jacob Hellner), but Adam wasn’t entirely happy with the result. So a couple of weeks ago, Adam went to the studio with (3DG producer) Howard Benson to record a new version of the song. It’s really great. It will actually be on the US/Canadian edition.

Lyrics

I try to make it through my life, in my way, there's you
I try to make it through these lies, and that's all I do

Just don't deny it,
Don't try to fight this ,and deal with it
and that's just part of it,

If you were dead or still alive
I don't care, I don't care
Just go and leave this all behind
Cause i swear (i swear),i don't care

I try to make you see my side
Always trying to stay in line
But your eyes see right through
That's all they do

I'm getting buried in this place
I got no room your in my face
don't say anything just go away

If you were dead or still alive
I don't care, I don't care
Just go and leave this all behind
Cause i swear (iswear) i don't care

[ instrumental ]
love changing everything
You won't be left for me x2

If you were dead or still alive
I don't care, I don't care
Just and and leave this all behind
Cause i swear(i swear)i don't care

If you were dead or still alive
I don't care(i don't care), I don't care(i don't care)
Just go ahead and leave this all behind
I don't care(i swaer), I don't care
At all...

Reflections
k...first things first...I maybe a lil late to throw this up...that's coz I wasn't exposed to english cinema or music way back in 1997 and then there was no household use of internet in India either....but nevertheless...I am sure that an impressive majority of my fellow Indians are still unaware of this tack.....well...this gotta be the best soundtrack I have heard ever............amazing composition...especially the second half.....I heard 8 years ago on an unlabeled audio cassette...I loved it and would listen to it again and again..but there was no way to find out the name of the track coz the track wasn't in English....and as I said the cassette was unlabelled....but dilemma was finally washed away yesterday as I was watching the fifth element on world movies...this particular soundtrack is sung by an alien opera singer called Plavalaguna....
In Plavalaguna's performance, the music and the vocalization abruptly shift from a classical to a trance style. This striking change is cross-cut with scenes of Leeloo's fight with the Mangalores in Plavalaguna's chamber, and the fight choreography is set to the music. In this sequence, the music is both diegetic and extra-diegetic, as the music is audible to the characters in the theater, but used as a dramatic score for the fight scene. This relationship between sound and image creates an unusual cinematic effect.
The Diva Dance opera performance featured music from Gaetano Donizetti's Lucia di Lammermoor : "Il dolce suono", the mad scene of Act III, Scene II, and was sung by Albanian soprano Inva Mula-Tchako, while the role of Plavalaguna was played by French actress Maïwenn Le Besco. Part One (titled Lucia di Lammermoor) and Part Two (titled The Diva Dance) of this piece are included as separate tracks on The Fifth Element soundtrack, but are sequenced to create the effect of the entire performance seen in the film. The end of Part One blends into the beginning of Part Two, creating a smooth transition between the two tracks.

Lyrics in Italian (Translation in english)
Il dolce suono
(The sweet sound)
Mi colpi di sua voce!...Ah, quella voce
(Of his voice I hear!...Ah, that voice)
M'é qui nel cor discesa!...
(It's deeply embedded in my heart!...)
Edgardo! lo ti son resa,
(Edgar! I'm yours again,)
Edgardo! Ah! Edgardo mio!
(Edgar! Ah! My Edgar!)
Si, ti son resa!
(Yes, I'm yours again!)
Fuggita io son da' toui nemici...nemici
(I've escaped from your enemies...enemies)
Un gelo mi serpeggia nel sen!
(There's a chill in my bosom!)
Trema ogni fibra!... Vacilla il pié!
(Every fibre trembles!...My foot's unsteady!)
Presso la fonte meco t'assidi alquanto...
(Sit with me near the fountain...)
Si, presso la fonte meco t'assidi
(Yes, sit with me near the fountain)

Lamhaa-OST
Music - Mithoon
Singers - Kshitij & Chinmayee
My Rating - 8.5/10

Reflections-
A very soulful piece of melody. Pretty slow and calm unlike the theme of the movie which is TERRORISM & Kashmir...the names of both trigger some loud noises inside our minds...This song is an irony to that feeling! The new guy Kshitij has done a good job, though his voice sounds like a Kailash + Rahet Combo....or was it MITHOON??? Chinmayee was apt!
I always considered Mithoon as a great composer...although he couldn't really get a breakthrough....His songs...most of em SAD ones....were noticed and went on to became memorable numbers---Maula Mere Maula Mere (Anwar), Beetein Lamhe, Mausam (The Train) and Bin Tere, Kyu hai Sehraaon ki (Aggar).......and then his album's single --- Tu hi mera.....all of them had found some place in our hearts,,,,yet he couldn't actually churn out a place for himself....I hope this movies just does that....

Raavanan (Movie Review)

Reactions:
Forget Raavan...I know my review wasn't a total positive one.....but for this one...I AM GONNA GIVE A THUMB'S UP!.....rather TWO thumbs' up!!!!
The movie Raavan wasn't made for Hindi...it was an out and out Tamil film.....the dialogs...the performance and the songs.....was totally perfect in the Tamil one...

Unlike in the hindi version where abhishek Bachchan sucked as BEERA & so did Vikram's HINDI fail to sync with his expression......in Tamil......VIKRAM rocks as VEERA and PRITHVIRAJ never looked better....wow! awesome performance by everyone....even Karthik Muthuraman, prabhu & Priyamani played his role smartly....
The music sounded very much perfect & so were the dialogues able to catch the imagery of d viewer....

The Hindi version fails coz of 3 reasons -
  1. Abhishek's over expressive under-acting
  2. Vikram's poor Hindi dialog delivery
  3. Dialogues that aren't powerful enough
The Tamil version clicks coz of -
  1. Awesome dialogues
  2. Prithviraj's great act as the SP
  3. Vikram's aggressive and perfect suit as VEERAIYYA
Those who were disappointed with the Hindi version must watch the tamil/telugu version.....coz they are gonna love it...just like i did...and I wanna watch again

MY VERDICT - 5/5 --- MUST WATCH

How is Raavan
Awesome Worst movie Average

There was lot of expectations from Raavan. After a long tiring morning, I prayed that the matinee would finally pay off the sweat that I egested on this hot summer's day. But sadly, The beginning was very poorly narrated and improperly woven. It did break my heart...but I had enough faith on Mani Ratnam's vision. And you know what, as the story progressed, things took off pretty awesomely, especially after the interval. It's a strange thing, but normally our bollywood and other Indian movies have an awesome first half but the second half is usually long and boring. Here, it's a different scenario. The first 15 minutes was pathetic....soon it was SO-SO.....and towards the interval the story had started narrating itself properly. But after the interval, every frame, every scene was a speckle of Brilliance.

The story revolves around Beera played by Abhishek who is supported by his two brothers Mangal and Hariya. They kidnap the SP's (Vikram) wife Ragini (Aishwarya) to avenge the suicide of his sister Jamunia. While the SP DP Sharma vociferously tries to track down Beera and the gang with the help of his loyal officers and a drunkard forest officer, Sanjivani (Govinda). In the first half Beera is portrayed as the antagonist, but a hero for the tribals who also is the messenger of death for his foes. But in second half, the transformation of Evil is shown and the mapping of Good into cunningness forms the end of the story. No more details about the story...coz I dont want any of u freebies [=P] to miss it.
The Music has been awesome..coz...of course..its by his highness AR Rahman...and I dont have to say anything more about it.Rahman's name in itself is worth a million praises. The cinematography has been breath taking, especially the action sequences and the night sequences. The one's in the Athirapally Waterfalls (Kerala) have been shot with excellent precision. HATS OFF!
Now the performance....let me start with Aishwarya...well..she's done it before...she's done it again. she looks sexy hot in this..although there were a few scenes where I couldn't notice her expressions coz my eyes would keep sliping down her BOSOMS..[=D]. Vikram as the ruff n tuff officer has done a good job in the acting department, but his dialog delivery sounded as if he was reading out from the script's copy directly. Govinda has a short and unimportant role..he fills in with a occasional humour as he replicates Hanuman from Ramayana while Nikhil Dwivedi replicates Lakshman. He has done a great job as the loyal to Vikram's plans. Priyamani had a very short role, but very important nevertheless as she is the sole string that ties the story together. her acting as well dialogues has been excellent, inspite of it being her first attempt in hindi cinema...many of us know how well she has done in her Tamil & Malayalam films. She was better than Vikram in this department. Abhishek as Beera was pretty over aggressive. There were many scenes where he has done well and man where he has overacted himself! Maybe it was too much of an ask for him. But overall he did do a commendable job, but not as good as GURU. Now, one man, who did exceptionally well, is the man from Bhojpuri cinema.....RAVI KISSEN...ya he's the stand out performer of this movie. The role had his name written all over it.....The sadistic side kick of the antagonist....he's done it superbly ....His smile was diabolical enough to scare any damsel away....

That's the performance..now overall this movie does love upto the expectations that it had created....just make sure you don't get out of the theatre after watching the first 15 minutes,,,coz that's really boring and confusing....be patient...coz Mani's movies always are impressive...have faith in him.
Although it didn't have the effect which GURU created in my mind...but yet...this movie's gonna be one of my favourites for a long time...especially for it's excellent cinematography...although editing could have been better.

MY VERDICT - must see...............3.5/5

Awesome Pathetic Its Ok

Reflections

Ok! forget Beera.....Behene De...Thok de killi! This song has got to be the best one! Its a fun wedding song...that's got every drumbeat in the world to go along with it.....you can feel your feet move dhig..dhag.....do! Starts with a trumpet/shehnaish rythm (the tamil version uses a nadaswaram instead of shehnai)......slowly followed by drums being beaten mercilessly to give that thumping sound of a perfect tribal wedding bash!.............and u so wanna dance to it!....

The song is sarcastic ballad on the age-old Indian satire of the Indian groom and his last night as bachelor....where he is compared to a Goat that's being groomed for slaughter...:P.....lol...thats what is the condition of a groom on the eve of his wedding! After tying the knot of matrimony he's doomed to b bound for life....kiddin! (nothing like that...well...I hope so...;)...)

The video...is as energetic as the track...where we see Priyamani for the first time in the promos of the film RAAVAN...wow...doesn't she look cute? She's the prettiest girl from the Southern peninsula of India.......while you also see Ganesh Acharya....the choreographer...yea...the guy with the double tummy....grooving along with Beera (Abhishek) and Priyamani........hmm...he was last seen in Humma Humma (Bombay)....and some floppy item song from Road....

The singers have given their fullest! That's the maximum superlative which I can use....Kunal Gunjawala...making a comeback into mainstream bollywood....last time he sang for Rahman in Saathiya....remember Suniyo Ri? Ila Arun gives the gloomy Rajasthani vocals & Swapna Awasthi supports her beautifully! Though the song has a slight taste of TAMIL KUTHU PAATU......its wonderfully merged with Rajasthani Folk.

just one vedict ---------------- AWESOME SONG!

It's got nothing different.....yet its not the same either....many of you would hate it...but try listening to it forgetting about the singer/composer/lyricist (lol..all are same!..Himesh!).......you might end up loving it...
I love the opening...where Himesh cites a nice dialogue....in tone which reminds of Javed Akhtar and his TALLAPHOOZ.... :P
And yea...he sings in his nasal tone....that operation was just a rumour...and u know he sounds wonderful the way he is! Hope Rabba barsaas luck on his acting and on the film's producers too!

Semmozhiyaana Tamizh mozhiyaam (composed by AR Rahman)

Semmozhiyaana Tamizh Mozhiyaam
Composed by AR Rahman & Lyrics by Shri Karunanidhi
My Rating - 9.5/10

Semmozhiyaana Tamizh Mozhiyaam (Tamil: செம்மொழியான தமிழ் மொழியே; alternately titled Tamil Meet Anthem or Semmozhi) is a Tamil song composed by A. R. Rahman, penned by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Kalaignar M. Karunanidhi and performed by several leading Tamil artistes of over three generations. It is officially the theme song for the World Classical Tamil Conference 2010 (Tamil: உலகத் தமிழ்ச் செம்மொழி மாநாடு), to be held in Coimbatore in June 2010, encapsulating the contributions of Tamil culture and literature down the ages. The song, a tribute to the Tamil language, features a fusion of various musical styles, including Carnatic, Folk, Acoustic, Sufi, Rock and Rap.

The World Classical Tamil Conference 2010, officially the 9th World Tamil Conference and informally known as the World Tamil Meet, is an international meet by Tamil scholars, researchers, poets, celebrities etc. from all around the world, which is to be held in Coimbatore from 23rd June to 27th June 2010. A poem titled Semmozhi was penned by the writer turned politician, M. Karunanidhi specifically for this meet, but with the wider vision that it be an anthem for Tamils across the globe. He demanded this poem to be set to tune by ace Tamil composer A. R. Rahman.
It took two to two-and-a-half months for Rahman to complete recording the song, which was immensely praised and skyrocketed to fame upon its release.Neither Rahman nor Gautham Menon, who conceived and directed the movie, took any remuneration to do this song. The video directed by Gautham Menon showcases the evolution of the Tamil script over time as well as aspects of Tamil culture, Tamil education, and the aesthetic beauty of Tamil locales. It also features the artistes who were involved in the recording together in front of an orchestration of the words "Semmozhiyaana Thamizh Mozhiyaam" (Tamil: செம்மொழியான தமிழ் மொழியே), or "The Classical Language that is Thamizh". Popular singers Anuradha Sriram and Unni Menon are also featured as part of the group, although they were unavailable for the recording of the song. Reflections

I just finished watching this 1964 classic. Never expected it to be such a cream. Throughout the movie I kept thinking that it was a horror flick until the climax. It was a suspense thriller marvelously crafted by Raj Khosla. The story was woven perfectly and the sets did create a great atmosphere for a horror flick and top over that the fact it was a black n white movie. The music was awesome....and so were the performance...especially by Mr. Manoj Kumar... The one track that haunted me throughout the movie was NAINA BARSE....loved it ...especially when it was played moments before the climax....even the camera work was wonderful...the technical lag couldn't effect the brilliance of the cinematographer...
This song sung by Lataji is surely an immortal piece of music.
P.S - Sadhana looks awesomely hot in this movie....m a Deewana .....lol.....

LYRICS (Translation)
naina Barse, Rim Jhim Rim Jhim
naina Barse, Rim Jhim Rim Jhimpiya Tore Aawan Ki Aaspiya Tore Aawan Ki Aas
naina Barse, Rim Jhim Rim Jhim
naina Barse, Barse, Barse
Tears raining from my eyes...drop by drop like pearls on water
Tear by tear...drop by drop
In the desire that you shall come.....
Tears raining from my eyes...drop by drop like pearls on water
Tear by tear...drop by drop

woh Din Meri Nigaahon Mein
woh Yaadein Meri Aahon Mein
o O O, Woh Din Meri Nigaahon Mein
woh Yaadein Meri Aahon Mein
yeh Dil Ab Tak Bhathakta Hai
teri Ulfat Ki Raahon Mein
sooni Sooni Raahein, Sehmi Sehmi Baahein
aankhon Mein Hain Barson Ki Pyaas
naina Barse, Rim Jhim Rim Jhim
naina Barse, Barse, Barse
That day in my sight...those memories in my breath
This heart still wanders...in the path of your presence
lonely streets....sighed shoulders
There's a thirst unquenched for ages...in my eyes
Tears raining from my eyes...drop by drop like pearls on water
Tear by tear...drop by drop

nazar Tujh Bin Machalti Hai
mohabbat Haath Malti Hai
o O O, Nazar Tujh Bin Machalti Hai
mohabbat Haath Malti Hai
chala Aa Mere Parwane
wafa Ki Shama Jalti Hai
o Mere Hamraahi, Phirti Hoon Ghabrayi
jahan Bhi Hai Aa Jaa Mere Paas
naina Barse, Rim Jhim Rim Jhim
naina Barse, Barse, Barse
The sight wavers when you're not in site...this love awaits
Come by, my well-wisher....The lamp of faith is still shining...
O my soulmate...I wander tensed....where ever you are..come back to me...
Tears raining from my eyes...drop by drop like pearls on water
Tear by tear...drop by drop

 adhoora Hoon Main Afsana
jo Yaad Aaoon Chale Aana
mera Jo Haal Hai Tujh Bin
woh Aakar Dekhte Jaana
bheegi Bheegi Palkein, Chham Chham Aansoo Chhalkein
khoyi Khoyi Aankhen Hain Udaas
naina Barse, Rim Jhim Rim Jhim
naina Barse, Barse, Barse
This sonnet is incomplete....when you remember...come by
How I am without you...when you come by..do notice
wet lashes...pearl like tears jingling as they fall
Eyes lost in sadness...
Tears raining from my eyes...drop by drop like pearls on water
Tear by tear...drop by drop

Yeh Laakhon Gham Yeh Tanhaayi
mohabbat Ki Yeh Ruswaayi
kati Aisi Kai Raatein
na Tum Aaye Na Maut Aayi
yeh Bindiya Ka Taara, Jaise Ho Angaara
mehndi Mere Haathon Ki Udaas
naina Barse, Rim Jhim Rim Jhim
piya Tore Aawan Ki Aas
naina Barse, Rim Jhim Rim Jhim
naina Barse, Barse, Barse
Millions of grief & this lonliness...the wrath of love
Nights go by....neither did you come nor did death
The symbols of eternal marriage have drooped...
In the desire that you shall come.....
Tears raining from my eyes...drop by drop like pearls on water
Tear by tear...drop by drop
Tears raining from my eyes...drop by drop like pearls on water
Tear by tear...drop by drop

Raavan - The Story

Reactions:

The excitement around Raavan stimulates as the official website reveals a synopsis of the movie. According to the site :-

Raavan is not a story, it is a world.
Beera Munda - Undisputed, Unlawful, Untamed
Dev Pratap Sharma - The Punisher; the Law, the Righteous
Ragini - Conscience, Beauty; Music

Dev falls in with Ragini, a spunky classical dancer who is as unconventional as him. They get married and he takes up his new post in Lal Maati, a small town in northern India.

A town where the world of law is not the police but Beera, a tribal who has, over the years, shifted the power equation of the place from the ruling to the have-nots of the area.

Dev knows that the key to bringing order to any place is not to vanquish the big fish; in this case - Beera.

In one stroke Dev manage to rip open Beera's world, and set in motion a change of event which will claim lives, changes fortune.

Beera, injured but enraged hits back starting a battle that draws Dev, Beera and Ragini into the jungle.

The jungle which is dense, confusing, scary. And in this journey they must confront their own truth. A journey which will test their beliefs, convictions and emotions. Emotions which are as scary and confusing as the forest.

The forest becomes the battleground. The battle between good and evil, between Dev and Beera, between Ram and Raavan.

But when the lines dividing good and evil are blurring fast whose side will you take. When hate turns to love and the good starts looking evil. Which side will you battle for?

Love is the battle that nobody wins but everyone must fight. Even this Raavan.
